June and July are hot and muggy months in Florida. It's a challenge to grow veggies this time of year. Right now, we have okra, basil and thyme, and I'm planting calabaza squash to test how it does in the heat of summer. Elderberries are ripening in June, and old-garden roses grow all summer, as long as they are watered well.
